Sports Medicine
and Video Gait Analysis
Here at Gordon Podiatry we know that Sports Medicine is more than just treating patients that are athletes. Sports medicine involves the knowledge and understanding of biomechanical principles, alignment, and gait analysis. We use the understanding that the body works as a unit from your foot to your knees and hips to treat lower extremity conditions. We focus on more than just the one area of pain, we focus on the whole patient.

Diabetic Foot Care
Did you know that Diabetes can effect the eyes, heart, kidneys, and feet? Did you know that according to the ADA more than 60% of all non-trauma related lower limb amputation are related to complications from diabetes? Orthotics
Flat feet, high arches, prominent bones, arthritic joints, knee pain, and many other biomechanical and musculoskeletal conditions may benefit from non-custom or custom orthotics. We will use our expertise to help determine if you are a good candidate for orthotic therapy. We offer custom orthotic fitting through the office. Orthotics are not one size fits all. There is more than one type of custom orthotic. We use our expertise to determine which type is best for you. If Custom orthotics are needed instead of just using a ground sensor, we take the time to made 3D casts of your feet so we can get an accurate impression of your foot type. We also have Powerstep brand non-custom orthotics in the office for those who do need a full custom device.
Fractures & Injuries
If you sustained a fracture or other injury such as a sprain or strain we can provide care including in-office x-ray, casting, and surgical intervention when needed. Subject to operating hours and availability we can usually accommodate same day and next day appointments for acute (new) injuries.
Shockwave
Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy is a type of noninvasive treatment used to treat a number of conditions throughout the body including, Chronic Tendonitis, Plantar Fasciitis, Achilles Tendinopathy, and Shin Splints. Corns, Calluses & Nail Care
We hope to make walking less painful. We can offer treatment options for painful corns and calluses including shaving or debridement of your lesions.
Thick, fungal, or difficult to cut nails? We can discuss treatment options with you at your first appointment. We perform nail trimming and debridement in the office, and can discuss any need/desire for routine nail care.
Ingrown Toe Nails: Sometimes they may simply need to be cut better or in a more specific way; However, if the ingrown toenail become persistently painful, more severe, or even infected an in-office procedure may need to be performed to remove the entire corner of the nail.
In Office X-Rays
We offer x-rays right in the office during you visit in the Main Office in Glenside! We can perform toe, foot and/or ankle x-rays during your visit!
Our in-office x-ray is back and better than ever with a new digital x-ray processing system!
**please note there are some select few HMO insurance plans that do not allow in-office x-rays as those plans require you to have your x-rays at a capitated/designated location
Electronic Health Records
Starting in 2021 began switching to an Electronic Health Records and Billing System. This will make scheduling, billing, and payments easier for both us and our patients. You will be able to schedule, cancel, or reschedule patients online as well as see and pay bills online if needed. You will also have access to a patient portal where you can get documents and information about your care that you may need!
Don’t Worry, you will still have the option to call and talk to someone in our office as well over the phone to make appointments the tradition way as well!
